WELCOME TO THE BUREAU OF EXPLORATION FORUMS

I. THE BUREAU
Greetings from the Bureau of Exploration. We are an organization dedicated to the discovery and cataloguing of strange locations. Abandoned buildings, tunnels, rooftops: urban exploration of places which have lost defined purpose. If you are interested in more information regarding the history and activities of the Bureau, please refer to: https://bureauofexploration.com/
II. FORUM
This forum was created to reach out to and communicate with others explorers traversing these spaces. It is focused on the region immediately surrounding our headquarters, Colorado U.S., but spans the rest of the country and overseas as well. It consists of Tier 1 Public Forums (accessible to anyone who creates an account) and Tier 2 Bureau Forums (for Agents of the Bureau and trusted fellow travelers) which contain more sensitive information. If you are interested in participating in these forums, please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the following information:
III. REGULATIONS
DO NOT:
• Share the location of abandoned sites in Bureau Public Forums (Tier 1) or social media beyond general region (i.e. "American Southwest", "Northeast Asia", etc.)
• Participate in the destruction of sites, breaking and entering, busting doors, etc.
• Share anyone’s info, post faces, etc. without permission.
• Engage in hate, bigotry, etc.- generally, don't be a jerk.
Not following these are grounds for removal from Bureau forums and chats.
IV. STRUCTURE
For coherency and security purposes, the Bureau Forums are organized into two general sections:
PUBLIC FORUMS (TIER 1)
• An open forum for urban explorers and artists from Colorado and elsewhere.
• Organizing meetups with explorers in Colorado and elsewhere.
• Specific regions, coordinates, or especially sensitive locations should not be shared here.
BUREAU FORUMS (TIER 2)
• Forums for Bureau Agents and fellow travelers who have been vetted in person after exploring together several times.
• Space to post the location and further information on sites.
• Meetups at more sensitive spots are mentioned here.
• To add new members, a vote is held in Tier 2. Further Information: If you are in Tier 2 and think someone is a good candidate to add, mention them in Tier 2, describe how you know them, and why you think they'd be good to admit to Tier 2. A vote will be initiated. If you want to petition to join Tier 2, please contact a Bureau Administrator.

The Bureau of Exploration believes that the exploration, preservation, and documentation of secret places is of great importance.
